I want to help people through food and nutrition. Growing up, I knew what joy a plate of fresh, nutritious food brought to my family, and I want to share that with as many people as I can.
Developing a healthy relationship with our food is so important to our well-being. Food can be healing, food can be fun, and food is our fuel. Healthy, nutritious food does not have to be intimidating or expensive.
After graduating, I intend to pursue a Post-Graduate degree in George Brown’s Food and Nutrition Management program, which will lead me towards becoming a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management. From there, I hope to get a rewarding position as a Diet Technician, Nutrition Manager or Food Service Director at one of Ontario’s accredited health care facilities. I have known for a long time that I want to help people, and I know now that through cooking and nutrition I can do that successfully.
