Helderleigh Nutrition Application Fund (HNAF)
Helderleigh Nutrition Application Fund (HNAF) is a partnership between The Helderleigh Foundation and the Food Innovation and Research Studio (FIRSt) and the Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts (CHCA) at George Brown College. The Foundation committed $400,000 towards innovative nutrition related applied research projects.

What Sorts of Projects?
Projects were in three categories; health prevention, therapeutic care and management of chronic diseases. A total of 12 projects were undertaken with 10 different partners. Each of the partners were from the not-for-profit sector; representing hospitals, health agencies and a university.
Each project advanced nutrition literacy, with an emphasis on knowledge dissemination, thus multiplying its impact.
The funding provided opportunities for George Brown College students, technicians and faculty to participate in applied research work and generate measurable results to advance nutrition.
